Look at my teeth, they’re all yellow and gray.
They’re grimy and loose and bound to decay.
Do you like them? Are they cool?
Do you think they’d “rule” in school?
I love to eat sweet, junky stuff,
Like sticky chews and candy fluff.
I love to drink the stuff that rots,
And turns my stomach into knots.
The yuckier it makes me feel,
The more I want it for a meal.
I love to watch my teeth decay,
And see them turn all shades of gray.
I giggle when I see them shake,
The more I shake the more they ache.
Seems very soon they’ll all fall out,
Then all I’ll have is one big pout!
I’d have to eat oatmeal or slurp from a cup!
Just thinking of mush makes me want to throw up!
I could not live without a treat.
I’d make a fuss and would not eat!
Instead of still thinking about my great loss,
I bought a cool toothbrush, some toothpaste and floss.
Holding them high, I started to say,
“I promise to use these- every day.
I’ll brush after eating,
Without ever cheating.
But if I forget- and eat some sweet junk,
I’ll brush my teeth twice- to brush off the gunk.
I’ll scrub them and clean them, my teeth, till they shine.
I’ll floss them and rinse them, ‘till they look so fine!
When going food shopping, I’ll buy some fresh cheese,
Some apples and crackers and even green peas!
Red cherries and carrots will be my sweet treats,
So will raisins and nuts and also red beets.
Then most of all, I’ll drink H2O.
Water’s the best for ALL, as you know.”
While eating so healthy, my teeth will get better,
So will my body. It will be a trendsetter!
Won’t I look so fine?
With white teeth that shine!
I’ll eat what is good,
And brush like I should.
I’ll make myself proud,
And all those around.
The teeth that I’ve got,
I’ll never let rot!”
