| Karen Perry
Karen Perry began her career as an educator of elementary children. After ten years of teaching she received her masters’ degree in counseling psychology and worked in the schools as a Psychological Associate. She tested and counseled children with learning disabilities and emotional problems, as well as consulted with teachers and parents. For the past twenty years, Karen has worked in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family therapist. She counsels children, teens, adults and couples on such issues as divorce, grief, anxiety, behavioral problems, depression, eating disorders, marital problems, Karen has written a column for a local paper regarding mental health issues and has published articles in local magazines. Karen is married and has two grown children. She resides in Houston, Texas. |
Casey Wise
Casey (Tedin) Wise is from a Swedish family who was instrumental in founding Rosholt, a small town in northeastern South Dakota. It is here where she first starting writing children's books. After college she taught special needs children in Minnesota, received her masters at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and then moved to Houston where she taught special needs children. She was a principal and teacher for 27 years in Spring Branch ISD, Houston, Texas. Having to always make up unique and fun stories to captivate her special children and to help them remember important facts, she decided to try her hand at an idea she had since moving to Texas in 1979. Casey is married to Michael Wise and has two children, Tanner and Natalya. |
