I discovered my love for art when I was given my first crayon. Coloring books, crayons and giant stuffed animals were my favorite toys growing up and I would often incorporate the three by designing characters based on the animals. Years later, third grade I think, I had an art teacher that convinced me that someday I would be an artist. That followed me throughout high school where I realized the extent of my ability and decided to make it a career. I went on to art school and received a degree from Columbus College of Art and Design.

Now I have settled back down in Hamilton, Ohio where I was born, funny how that works out. I work as a Public Relations Assistant and Graphic Designer for the Lane Libraries during the day and freelance in the evenings and weekends. I live with my husband Jacen, my girls Ananke and Kaya (Alaskan Huskies) and our cat Allie who loves to chew on my pencils. I look forward to the day when I can visit my local library and find a book that I have illustrated.
