Darla Branch was born in Pasadena, Texas, the oldest child of two girls. She graduated in 1986 from the University of Houston with a B.A. in Theater Arts, and shortly after graduation she met the love of her life, Scott Branch, while performing together in a local play. They married on August 20, 1988 on the stage of their college theater.
Now the mother of a precious 12-year-old daughter, Darla wants to share her love of storytelling and poetry with other children. She credits her love of storytelling to her Dad who has a wonderful imagination and allowed his children to explore the worlds he created in his own stories.
Darla currently lives in Channelview, Texas, a suburb of Houston, where she enjoys spending time with her family and their five dogs. She loves to read, write, and perform in community theater when she can. She is currently employed by the state of Texas as an Environmental Investigator and takes great pride in helping to protect the waters of the state.
