Summer K. Hall
Summer K. Hall is a second grade teacher at Sequoia Elementary School in Westminster, California. She has taught students from kindergarten through Third Grade for fourteen years and uses her own vast library of children’s literature to help foster a love for reading and writing in the students she teaches. Originally from Lake Tahoe, CA, Summer now lives in beautiful Huntington Beach, CA with her husband, Todd, new baby girl, Alyssa Grace, their two spunky dogs, and their two cats.
Bella Upside Down was inspired by a student in Summer’s past Second grade class whose quirky and lovable personality just had to become a character for all kids to enjoy. The story reflects the inquisitive nature of a young child who sees no limit to her own imagination and ultimately through trial and error, learns that some things in her world really are better “upside down”.
Summer has written two other books with characters inspired by past students. She continues to find the adventurous and innocent nature of elementary school children inspirational. She would also like to thank her family, friends, and colleagues for supporting her during the writing and promoting of Bella Upside Down.
